Audubon’s Last Nature Night Of The Year Is Thursday

There is one more opportunity this year to visit the Audubon Nature Center in the evening.

Since the building is closed Tuesday through Friday from November through February, Thursday will be the last Nature Night of the year. That Thursday evening the building will be open until 9 p.m.

The center’s three-story building contains a nature store and a collection of live animals, including fish, reptiles, and amphibians, and interactive displays that inform and engage visitors of all ages.

Located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren, Audubon has more than 5 miles of maintained trails. Its 600-acre wetland preserve includes a native tree arboretum and several educational gardens.

Admission to the Audubon Nature Center is $6.

It is free for children and Friends of the Nature Center.

There is no charge for visiting the nature store, walking the trails, enjoying the gardens, or viewing Liberty, Audubon’s non-releasable Bald Eagle, in her outdoor habitat behind the Nature Center.

Through Oct. 31 normal hours for the Nature Center are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-4:30 p.m. Sunday.
