Clymer Native To Present Writing Workshop

ERIE – Kathy Otten, a Clymer native who is author of historical romance novels Between the Lines and Lost Hearts, will co-present the workshop, The Research Roadmap, Take Your Writing from Ordinary to Extraordinary, on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie.

Otten and her co-presenter, Erie author Gene Ware, author of A History of Presque Isle, will discuss how precise and detailed research will enhance writing. They will explain where and how to locate accurate information then incorporate that information into a story through action, dialogue and description.

The Research Roadmap workshop will be one of many classes to be presented at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center as part of an all day mini writers conference, entitled, A Writer’s Road Trip, hosted by Pennwriters, a statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to helping writers pursue their craft.
