Tovell Named Paul Harris Fellow By Noon Rotary
Born in Great Yarmouth, England, Yvonne Tovell has been named a Paul Harris Fellow of the Jamestown Noon Rotary Club.
Currently the procurement manager for Trinity Biotech Laboratories in Jamestown, Kansas and California, Tovell earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and her graduate degree in Human Resource Management from the Southwest University in Plymouth, England. She has worked as human resource manager for Reed Business Publications and Centacon Diagnostic Laboratories in the United Kingdom and for Trinity Biotech in the United States.
She has lived and worked in England; Sydney, Australia; Santa Barbara, Calif.; St. Louis, Mo.; and Jamestown.
Tovell is active in the Rotary Club; is a board member of The Resource Center Support Enterprises; and is secretary of the Chautauqua County Humane Society. She enjoys playing the violin and hiking with both the Chautauqua Hiking Club and the Erie Hiking Club.
Tovell is a citizen of both the United States and Great Britain. She is married to Ian Woodwards and lives in Ashville.
The Paul Harris Fellow is bestowed upon members of the Rotary Club International who support the Rotary Foundation with a $1,000 contribution to the humanitarian and educational programs of the Rotary Foundation. The award is named for Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary International Inc., the world’s first service club, in 1905.
