Roy W. Warner

Roy W. Warner, 78, a self employed painter, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Jamestown, N.Y.

He was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Jamestown, the son of the late Carl and Cecilia (Gustafson) Warner.

He is survived by his son Lee W. Warner of Charlotte, N.C., his two daughters: Julie (Kenneth) Gerwitz of Gowanda, N.Y., Terri L. Jones of Fall Creek, Ore., his sister-in-law Beverly L. (Bill) Johnston of Cattaraugus, N.Y., his brother-in-law Jack Starks of Jamestown, N.Y., eight grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carol Warner, his brother Henry Warner, his four sisters Ruby Mattern, Joyce Cischo, Marion Starks, and Elsie Anderson.

Roy was a former musician/band member with The Swinging Strings.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at 10:30 at The Victory Tabernacle, 254 S. Main St., Cattaraugus, N.Y. The Rev. Clifford J. Waugh will be officiating. Inurnment will be in the Willowbrook Cemetery, Fredonia, N.Y.
