Alternate Parking Begins Tuesday

Daily alternate parking in the city of Jamestown goes into effect Tuesday. Vehicles should be parked only on the odd-numbered side of the street during odd-numbered days and on the even-numbered side of the street during even-numbered days. Daily parking alternates at 10 a.m. with no grace period.

County Planning Board To Meet

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Stockton Town Hall, at 7344 Route 380 in Stockton. Holiday Craft Fair Accepting Vendors

Bethel Baptist Christian Academy will hold its annual holiday craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in the gymnasium of Bethel Baptist Christian Academy, 200 Hunt Road, Jamestown. There will also be concessions and a bake sale. Proceeds will benefit student activities and scholarship programs. Vendor spaces are available for $30 until Oct. 11 and $40 after Oct. 11. Information on vendor registration is available either by stopping at the school office on Hunt Road, by calling the office at 484-7420, emailing bbcaoffice@windstream.net or visiting bbcajamestown.weebly.com. The final registration deadline is Oct. 30.

Ellington Sets Budget Meetings

ELLINGTON – Town of Ellington budget meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Oct. 2, Oct. 16 and Oct. 30 at the Ellington Town Hall. The public is invited to attend.

Radio Exam Team To Hold Session

WELLSVILLE – The Cattaraugus County Amatuer Radio Exam Team will hold a free test session at Brico Technology, 4371 Route 417 West, Wellsville, at 7 p.m. Friday. Rummage Sale Begins Friday

SOUTH DAYTON – The South Dayton United Methodist Church will hold a giant rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, with a bag sale at noon. A bake sale will also be featured both days.

Fall Festival Begins Oct. 5

BLOCKVILLE – The Harmony Historical Society is getting things ready for its fall festival on Oct. 5-6 at the society’s facility on Open Meadows Road in Blockville. Buildings will be open with demonstrations of things from the past. There will be entertainment both days as well as food. Vendors are welcome to participate. For more information, call 640-5843. The Historical Society has been able to obtain the private property that was located within its property. A building that was on the property has been removed and society officials said the new area will be a real asset to society activities.
