Library Holding Prize Giveaway
LITTLE VALLEY – The Friends of the Memorial Library of Little Valley are sponsoring a five-prize giveaway to benefit the Library and the Little Valley Holiday Cheer Program. Tickets are $5 and purchase a chance to win one of five prizes. First prize is a Toshiba laptop computer, second prize is a Kindle Fire HD, third prize is $100, fourth prize is $50 and fifth prize is $25. Tickets are available at the library, from a Friend of the Library or at any library function. For more information, call the library at 938-6301. Library hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The library is closed Wednesday, Sunday and all legal holidays.
FREWSBURG – The Carroll Historical Society will be open for its final Saturday of the season this weekend this season. Harold Bennett, a member of the Robert H. Jackson family will be present from 2-4 p.m. to answer questions and discuss our current displays of the Jackson family. The society is located behind the Carroll Town Hall, Main Street, Frewsburg. The society will continue to have monthly meetings the third Monday of October and November; meetings will then resume in February.
Cady To Appear On Senior Report
Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Mackenzie Cady as his guest on the television program. Cady is manager of the Grape Discovery Center. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day on Channel 5 or 19 depending on your area at 2 and 8 p.m.
To Hold Dinner
Project ”Love Bear,” a nonprofit organization providing Ripley children with new coats, hats, scarves clothing and Christmas list items, will hold a chicken barbecue beginning at noon on Saturday in the Crossroads Craft and Farm Market, 6017 Westfield Sherman Road. Dinner includes chicken, potato salad, applesauce, roll and butter, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8.50 per dinner and a limited supply is available. Takeouts and free delivery will be available. Donations are currently being accepted for a Chinese auction which will also be held. To preorder tickets or donation pickup, contact Gloria Mulson at 736-7183.

Historic Society To Meet Tuesday
SINCLAIRVILLE – The next regular meeting of the Valley Historical Society will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Sinclairville Free Library, Main Street, Sinclairville. Brenda Cavallaro, Falconer historian, will present a program titled “The Village of Falconer.”
