Cassadaga Valley Volleyball Team Falls To Silver Creek

SINCLAIRVILLE – Jordan Brooks recorded six kills and seven blocks as the Silver Creek Black Knights (5-3, 2-3) took down the Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars (1-3, 1-8), 25-15, 25-14, 25-14 Monday in non-league girls volleyball.

Allie Harford contributed in the win with six kills and nine aces while Cora Utegg finished with 11 kills and four digs for the winners.

The Lady Cougars were led by Heather Dorler’s two kills and an ace. Kodie Hoyt had two kills and Hope Zielinski added three blocks, one dig and an ace in a losing effort.

Cassadaga Valley won the junior varsity match.


DUNKIRK – Sherman topped dunkirk, 25-17, 27-25, 19-25, 23-25, 25-23.

The Lady Wildcats were led by Katrina Christmas’ three aces, seven kills and four blocks. Cady Hannold added eight assists and two blocks while Bridget Yaw finished with two aces, three kills and two blocks for the winners.

Alexis Clark was Dunkirk’s top player with six aces, one assist, 19 kills, three blocks and two digs. Natasha Colon added one ace, 21 assists and two kills while Sarah Hanlon had 11 kills and four digs. Alyssa Galardo charted three aces, three kills and as many digs in a losing effort.
