City Man Charged Following Stabbing

CELORON – A Jamestown man has been apprehended in connection with an early morning stabbing.

On Sunday, the Ellicott Police Department responded to a stabbing call in Celoron around 5:30 a.m. Ellicott police were able to locate the victim, and found that a physical altercation took place between the victim and 29-year-old Brandon M. Muoio. During the altercation, Muoio allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times.

The victim was transported to WCA Hospital in Jamestown for the wounds, which police say were not life-threatening.

According to Det. B. Knight of the town of Ellicott Police Department, Muoio was caught Monday afternoon. Muoio is being charged with first-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment.
