Department Seeks Help In Thefts From Cockaigne

CHERRY CREEK – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding information on recent thefts from the Cockaigne Ski Resort.

Deputies say numerous items from the resort, located on Thornton Road, have been taken in recent months. Most recently, a SMI Snow Making Head was stolen along with approximately 30 feet of 8-inch steel pipe. The snow-making head is valued at $5,000.

Residents with any information are asked to call the department at 753-2131.
