Set For Saturday

The Unexpected Guests Improv Comedy Group will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at The Reg Studio Theater, 108 E. Third St. in Jamestown. The performance features the kind of comedy made famous by Chicago’s Second City and TV’s “Whose Line is it Anyway?” The cast includes Gary Peters, Jane Fischer, Timothy Smeal, Alison Barry, Wayne Carlsson, Heather Felton, Malachi Livermore and Kipp Reynolds. The Unexpected Guests have been performing in Chautauqua County for more than 10 years, and are proud to be a part of the vibrant local arts community. General admission seating is $5 at the door. Block Party

Set For Sunday

Christ Church will host its first annual block party and church picnic for Greenhurst in the town of Ellery Sunday from noon-3 p.m. It will be held on the church grounds at 3010 Route 430. A barbecue chicken dinner will be served, and games and activities will also take place. There is no price for admission, and all are welcome to attend.

Robertson To Appear On Show

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Martha Robertson as the guest on the television program. Robertson is a congressional candidate for our area. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities.

Blood Drive

Set For Today

WCA Hospital in partnership with the Community Blood Bank is holding a bloodmobile drive today to encourage area donors to donate to replenish low blood supplies. The bloodmobile drive will be held at WCA Hospital Auditorium, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown, from noon-5 p.m. The drive is open to the public. All blood types are needed to replenish low supplies.

North Harmony Board To Meet

The North Harmony Planning Board will hold a special meeting on Sunday at 11 a.m. to review property located at 4920 Ashville Bay Road.

Fundraiser Set For Saturday

The Mayville United Methodist Church Community Outreach Committee will hold a car wash/can drive/yard and hot dog sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 81 S. Erie St. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside. Proceeds will help fund outreach activities planned for the community.

Steak Dinner Planned

CHERRY CREEK – The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church, Main Street, Cherry Creek, will hold a Swiss steak dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The meal includes a beverage and homemade desserts. The cost is a donation of $10 for adults; $6, children; family pricing available.
