Church To Host Saturday Dinner

STOW – The Magnolia United Methodist Church, 3969 Route 394, north of Stow, will host a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday. The meal will include homemade spaghetti sauce, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, cake and beverage. Takeouts will also be available. The cost is a donation. Also featured will be a baked goods and craft sale.

Sunday Service Time Changed

CHERRY CREEK – The Leon Celebration Fellowship Church will change its Sunday service time to 11 a.m. The church will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. Entertainment will be provided by Maurice Brown and the Mountain Railroad. The cost is a free will donation. All are welcome to attend.

Retired Group

To Meet Friday

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 267 will hold its next meeting Friday. The group meets at Friendly’s Restaurant in Jamestown’s Brooklyn Square, starting at 11 a.m. The group has its regular business meeting, and lunch and dessert. All active and retired federal employees are invited to attend the meeting, or just stop by for dessert and conversation with former co-workers.

Steak Dinner

Set For Saturday

BEMUS POINT – The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold its famous Swiss steak dinner this Saturday at the lodge from 4:30-7 p.m. The dinner is open to everyone, and all are welcome to attend. Thule Lodge is the Swedish organization formed nearly 106 years ago in the Jamestown/Bemus Point area. The lodge continues to preserve the Swedish heritage through events and activities, and new members are always welcome.

Rap Session

Set For Saturday

The Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Rap Group will hold its monthly ”rap session” from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Jones Hill Memorial Rehabilitation Center auditorium, 51 Glasgow Ave., Jamestown. Rummage Sale Set For Saturday

LAKEWOOD – Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 35 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, will host a rummage and baked good sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The sale will include housewares, clothes, toys, furniture and books.
