Dickey To Host Lunch And Learn Saturday

Tamara M. Dickey, Democratic Party candidate to represent Ward 3 on the Jamestown City Council, will host a lunch and learn meeting from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the 210 Fairmount Ave. Plaza.

Among Dickey’s interests is raising Jamestown’s small business and entrepreneurial concerns. Many residents, such as Koran Walker have reached out to the candidate regarding entrepreneurial opportunities and small business growth concerns within Ward 3. Mrs. Dickey has been told a variety of concerns and confirmed that there are various small business needs in the community. Many, she said, would like to see more jobs in Jamestown created. Mrs. Dickey believes small businesses can help grow Jamestown and move the community from good to great.

Recently, Mrs. Dickey visited the general manager of Big Jons Southern BBQ & Fixins and Al Steffens of Chautauqua Comics, along with Red Butler, Fiesta Pools and Spa store manager, all of whom were excited to speak with Dickey about how their Jamestown small businesses were doing. Dickey said it is important that people work in Jamestown and buy in Jamestown to support existing businesses.
