Library Fall Hours

Begin In October

The Clymer-French Creek Free Library will change to its fall hours starting in October. New hours will be 9 a.m. to noon and 1-6 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Game Night

Set For Today

ELLINGTON – The Farman Free Library will host a game night featuring Scrabble and Chess today from 5:30-7 p.m. Popcorn and refreshments will be served. Come to find a partner to play or bring a partner and join the fun. Also, if students need a work area for homework with easy computer access, the library is available. Arissa Hitchcock, library director, is willing to help with homework and projects on Tuesdays and Wednesday nights. Snacks will be provided if there is a sufficient response.

Planning Board To Meet Tonight

FALCONER – Ellicott Planning Board meeting has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. today. The Ellicott Planning Board meets at the Ellicott Administration Building, 215 S. Work St., Falconer.

Legion To

Meet Wednesday

American Legion Post 1286 will be holding their monthly Auxiliary Meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Post. All Auxiliary members are invited to attend. They will be planning several holiday events.

Auto Club To Gather Wednesday

The Chautauqua Lake Region Antique Automobile Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Fluvanna War Vets. Guests are welcome to attend. The club is open to anyone interested in antique and classic automobiles. For more information, call Al Oag at 483-6287.

Ripley Board To Meet Thursday

RIPLEY – A regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Ripley Central School District will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., in the Elementary Library, of the Ripley Central School, for the purpose of any and all items that come before the board.

Library Meeting Set For Thursday

FREWSBURG – The Myers Memorial Library will have a planning session from 7-8 p.m. Thursday for its annual fall party. The theme is Prohibition/1920s. Those interested in helping but who are unable to attend can call the library at 569-5515, email myerslib@yahoo.com or visit the library. Library hours are 1-8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 2 -5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Salamanca To Hold Meeting

SALAMANCA – The Salamanca City Central School District Board of Education will hold a “special meeting” on Friday. This will be an executive session for the employment history of a particular person. This meeting will be held in the Superintendent’s Office at 9 a.m.

Canine Rescue To Hold Sale

WESTFIELD – Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue will offer many items up for sale in the Learning Center at 7540 North Gale St. in Westfield on Friday and Saturday. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The mission at NCCR is to provide sanctuary for stray and abandoned puppies and dogs. NCCR then finds each dog a loving, responsible and permanent home. Between 250 and 300 dogs are rescued by NCCR each year. NCCR is a no kill shelter that receives no state or federal funds.
