Brocton Football Player Dies From Injury

BROCTON – Three days after being hurt during a high school varsity football game, a Brocton teenager has succumbed to his injuries.

Sixteen-year-old Damon Janes, a junior, was injured after being hit by another player during a game at Portville. The game was called off after the injury Friday night. He lost consciousness and was rushed to Women and Children’s Hospital, where he remained in intensive care until passing away from his injuries on Monday.
