Exchange Student Speaks To AM Rotary

Returning Rotary Youth Exchange Student, Gregory Nelson was the featured speaker for the Rotary Club of Greater Jamestown AM at its recent meeting on Aug. 28.

Greg has rejoined his class as a senior at Maple Grove High School having recently returned home from a year in Nuevo Baztan, Spain, on the outskirts of Madrid.

While abroad, Greg was recognized as an outstanding exchange student and was chosen to represent youth exchange as one of three youth speakers at the Rotary International Convention in Lisbon, Portugal attended by thousands of Rotarians from around the world.

Speaking to his sponsoring club of Rotarians about his year abroad, Greg thanked the club for the opportunity and a truly life changing experience.

The Greater Jamestown A.M. Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. at the Marvin House in Jamestown.
