Pine Valley Ends Winless Boys Soccer Drought

SINCLAIRVILLE-Pine Valley picked up its first win, 3-2, after a three-year hiatus as the Panthers (1-2) edged Cassadaga Valley (0-4) in Central Division boys soccer.

Twelve minutes in, Jaren Johnston scored an unassisted for Pine Valley and Alex Kelly scored as Tyler West assisted for the 2-0 lead.

The Cougars’ Kyle Ruge nailed an unassisted goal to make it 2-1, but Sam Lingenfelter scored for the Panthers with West assisting. Ruge then scored his second unassisted goal of the game for Cassadaga Valley.

Russell Hayes had 12 saves for Pine Valley in the win while Reeze Bly had 10 saves for the Cougars.
