Barbara Mae Chapman Buleigh
Barbara Mae Chapman Buleigh, 77, Titusville, Pa., formerly of Grand Valley, Pa., and Jamestown, N.Y., died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, 2013, surrounded by her family, at the home of her daughter in Grand Valley.
She was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Ramond and Elma Chapman, and worked in housekeeping at the WCA Hospital in Jamestown, The Rouse Home in Youngsville and for various families in Jamestown, N.Y.
She had previously at-tended the Frewsburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed family get-togethers, baking, cooking and shopping with her daughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Casey” Burleigh; a son, William Chapman; a daughter, Amy Jo Burleigh ; and a stepfather, Lester Osberg.
She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Ric (Vicki) Mason, Youngsville, Pa., Sharon Crick, Townville, Pa., Mrs. Steve (Lori) Breon and Mrs Gerry (Diane) Williams, both of Grand Valley and Susan Spetz, Titusville, Pa. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Grand Valley United Methodist Church, Saturday, Sept. 14, from 2-3 p.m. at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Ralph Culp, officiating.
Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.
