CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Jason C. Merritt, 40, of Forestville was charged at 8:34 p.m. Monday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se having a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher. Deputies responded to a vehicle and an Amish buggy accident on the Hartfield/Stockton Road. Upon investigation it was found that Merritt, the vehicle’s operator, was under the influence of alcohol. He was charged and will appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later time and date. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Paige L. Graves, 23, of Jamestown was charged at 1:23 a.m. on Wednesday, with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, speed in zone, loud/inadequate exhaust and unlicensed operator. Jamestown Police Officers observed a gray-colored Honda Accord traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on North Main Street with a loud exhaust. They conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street at West 23rd Street and identified the operation as Graves. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Graves was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. She was arrested at the scene and was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, at which time a chemical breath test was administered and it was found she had a blood alcohol content over the legal limit of .08 percent. Graves was released to reappear in city court at a later date.
TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
CELORON – Todd H. Rosendahl, 46, of 44 E. Duquesne St., Celoron, was charged with second-degree harassment at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellicott Police responded to a report of harassment and upon further investigation it was found that Rosendahl grabbed and struck the victim. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
CELORON – Ryan A. Seeley, 31, of 48 Sturges St., Apt. 1, Jamestown, was charged at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Ellicott officers noticed two vehicles parked in the Celoron Park parking lot unoccupied. The owners were located behind a building in the park and Ellicott officers confiscated a small quantity of marijuana from Seeley. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
