Trojans Net Another Win

Southwestern moved to 2-0 with a 5-0 sweep over Jamestown (2-1) in West Division girls tennis on Tuesday.

Heidi Mueller was a first-singles winner over Chloe Knapp, 6-0, 4-6, 10-6, in a 10-point superbreaker and Morgan Johnson posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Abby Wisner in second singles.

BEARS ROLL

SALAMANCA – Frewsburg opened its girls tennis season successfully with a 4-1 win over Salamanca (0-2) in the East Division.

The Bears won the three singles as first singles Rosemarie Mole, second doubles Emily Hair and third singles Olivia Sposato gained the victories.

Meredith Franzen and Carli Marsh of Frewsburg captured the first doubles and Courtney Yehl and Colleen McClure of Salamanca won second doubles.
