LGBTQ Picnic Set For Sunday

Gay Days in Jamestown: an LGBTQ picnic, will be held Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Bergman Park. All are welcome.

Clymer Board

To Meet Monday

CLYMER – The Clymer Central School Board of Education will hold its regular meeting Monday at 5 p.m. on the Vocal Music Room. At 7 p.m., the Clymer and Panama boards of education will meet for a joint meeting, also in the Vocal Music Room. The public is invited to both meetings.

Jacob’s Ladder Class Begins

Jacob’s Ladder Class led by Jody Terhune for children up to fourth grade will be conducted on a monthly basis – on the first Saturday of each month starting today, from 8-11:30 a.m., at Christ First United Methodist Church, corner of Lakeview Avenue and Buffalo Street. Registration will be held in the church Fellowship Hall adjacent to the parking lot from 8-8:15 a.m. There will be stories, games, crafts, songs and fun. Please bring a canned food item for the Mission Basket. The program is being held in conjunction with the Adult Servant Saturday program of Mission to our church and community which operates during the same hours. Brockway Birthday Set For Sunday

STOW – Family and friends will celebrate the 90th birthday of Carrol Brockway with an open house from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, at the Hadley House, 3328 Hadley Bay Road, Stow. The family only requests guests’ presence and no gifts. Buffet, punch and coffee will be provided. A cash bar is available.

Ferry Program Airs Today

Jim Roselle’s visit to the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry for his show, “Times of Your Life” will air on Access Channel 5. The hour-long program will air today and run through Friday at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. daily. Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Mayville, Westfield, Chautauqua, North Harmony, Sherman, Ripley and Portland area.

Veterans Program Airs Today

The town of North Harmony pig roast for the Veterans Memorial fundraiser coverage will air on Access Channel 5. The 10-minute program will air today and run through Friday at 1:50 p.m. and 7:50 p.m.

Lot Owners Need To Remove Items

ELLINGTON – Ellington Cemetery lot owners are asked to remove all decorations by Oct. 1 to allow the caretaker to complete fall cleanup. All remaining decorations will be removed by the caretaker. Winter wreaths are permitted from Nov. 1 to April 1.

Water Test

Set For Monday

A private contractor will conduct a water flow test at the Gateway Center on Water Street in Jamestown on Monday, according to the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities. As a result, the area may experience discolored water on Monday and into Tuesday morning.
