Area Police Reports
Danielle J. Sabo, 25, of Monroe Street, Jamestown, was charged at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday with petit larceny. Police said Sabo allegedly took $12.46 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart without paying. She was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
Theresa A. Russo, 36, of Newland Avenue, Jamestown, was charged at 8 p.m. on Wednesday with petit larceny. Russo was stopped by Lakewood-Busti police while trying to leave Wal-Mart with a plastic tote containing $700 worth of merchandise. She was arraigned in Busti Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
Amanda L. Huber was charged at 8 p.m. on Wednesday with petit larceny, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Huber was stopped by police trying to leave Wal-Mart with a plastic tote containing $700 worth of merchandise. She also was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and a hypodermic needle. Huber was held in Chautauqua County Jail.
Kevin R. Christy, 25, was charged at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree harassment. He was arraigned in Busti Court and released.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Christina M. Lender, 33, was charged at 4:40 a.m. on Thursday with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. John A. Auflick, 54, was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Police responded to East Second Street for a report of a domestic dispute. An investigation revealed that Lender allegedly kicked the victim numerous times in the face and destroyed their credit card. It was also revealed Auflick allegedly held the victim against the bed and wouldn’t let go. Both were taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. They were awaiting arraignment.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Crystal L. Lamere, 32, of Flagg Avenue, Jamestown, was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment following an incident at Southwestern Elementary School. Police said Lamere allegedly yelled threats and profanity at a subject. She was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SILVER CREEK – Dyquan M. Smith, 18, of Deer Street, Dunkirk, was charged at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Jordan Acevedo, 18, of Lord Street, Dunkirk, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies executed two felony arrest warrants following a lengthy investigation into a stolen vehicle in Silver Creek. Both were arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
NORTH HARMONY – Jason J. Sprague, 23, of Dewittville was charged at 1:43 a.m. on Sunday with speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana. Dennis P. Gonzalez, 21, of Mayville, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 394. Deputies noted an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Both were alleged to be in possession of marijuana following an investigation. They were issued appearance tickets to be in North Harmony Court at a later date.
ELLERY – Josh A. Moore, 33, of Route 430, Bemus Point, was charged at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded to an altercation and found that Moore allegedly pushed and placed his hands around the neck of another person who was holding a small child. Moore was taken into custody and arraigned in Chautauqua Court since no Ellery judge was available. He was committed to Chautauqua County Jail and will be back in court at a later date.
