Set For Sunday

A 50th anniversary celebration for Bonnie and Charles Nash will be held Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The open house will be held at the North Harmony United Methodist Church, Stedman, on Stedman-Sherman Road.

Vendors Needed For Flea Market

CHERRY CREEK – The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church, Cherry Creek, will hold outdoor flea market and pig roast from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. Vendors are needed. For more information, call 388-8429 or 450-0820 by Oct. 7.

Outdoor Club

To Ride Today

The Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will ride bikes today on the Bayfront Bike Trail in Erie. Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the trailhead near the tennis courts at Penn State Behrend then ride to the Tom Ridge Center. This will be a shuttle ride. Before returning to the Behrend starting point, participants will have a late lunch at Joe Root’s Restaurant.

Thule Lodge

To Hold Dinner

BEMUS POINT – The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold a dinner this Friday at the lodge from 5-7 p.m. All dinners are open to everyone. The dinner will be a fish dinner prepared in one of three ways, with a second choice being Swedish kaldolmars and rotmos. Everyone is welcome.

Marco Polo

Auxiliary To Meet

Jay Carlo and Frances Lunetta will host a meeting of the Marco Polo Auxiliary at 6 p.m. today. Twenty-four members attended a Father’s Day tureen, chaired by Ruth Boscia and Sandy Cusimano. Minutes and the treasury reports were given by Frances Lunetta and Dorothy Galati. Louis Carlo, Carmen Lunetta and Joe Panzica received gift cards. Freda Zanetta, Ruth Boscia, Norma Gagliano and Jen Juul celebrated birthdays. Mary Racitano won the pink elephant.

Outdoor Club To Ride Saturday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes 17 miles on the Cuyahoga Valley Towpath Trail within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio on Saturday. The ride will begin at 1 p.m. at Peninsula and end at Rockside. Once at Rockside, riders will load their bikes onto the train and return to their starting point. There is a $3 charge for the train ride. The group will then tent camp or rent cabins at nearby facilities and then do a second ride on Sunday. Gay Days Set For Saturday

Gay Days in Jamestown: an LGBTQ picnic, will be held Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Bergman Park. All are welcome.

Sunday School Event Planned

CHERRY CREEK – The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will hold a children’s Sunday school kick-off, beginning at 9 a.m., on Sunday. Featured will be exciting Bible stories, movies, crafts and music.
