Randolph Girls Top Southwestern

Randolph recorded its second win of the season by posting a 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 victory over host Southwestern in non-league volleyball on Friday.

For the Lady Cardinals (2-0), McKenna Maycock had 24 kills and 16 digs, Alexis Terrette produced 16 assists, Miranda Gross had 14 assists, Cierra Farmer made six kills and Hilary Klinger had 10 digs.

Sally Rudny led the Lady Trojans (0-1) with 10 kills, Carlie Carlson added six kills and Maddy Alexander had 15 assists and nine digs.

In the jayvee matchup, Randolph won, 26-24, 25-16 and 18-25.

FORESTVILLE SWEEPS

SINCLAIRVILLE – Forestville opened the girls volleyball season by defeating non-league Cassadaga Valley, 25-19, 25-9, 25-10.

Alisha Szumigla had nine kills, Sierra Tweedie five kills and Lizzy Gilman four kills for Forestville.

Bailey Gloss recorded 14 digs and Tweedie 11 while Ashley VanBuskirk had 11 assists and Amanda Weaver five assists and Tweedie delivered three assists.

For Cassadaga Valley, Christine Seibert had nine digs and Heather Dorler six while Kodie Hoyt produced five kills and Alyssa Hahn three assists.

Forestville also took the junior varsity match.

CRANDALL LEADS C-LV

ELLICOTTVILLE – Sara Crandall recorded 21 kills, 12 digs and six aces in leading Cattaraugus-Little Valley to a come-from-behind victory in girls volleyball over Ellicottville, 17-25, 16-25, 25-11, 25-15, 25-19.

Alyssia Goodwill had 37 assists and six aces, Jessica Pritchard 13 kills and Ashley Harvey six blocks, five kills and two aces in the victory.

Courtney Scanlon led Ellicottville (1-1) with 21 kills, 16 digs, three aces and a block while teammates Marissa Hamilton added 27 assists and two blocks and Kayla Dunkleman 17 digs and four aces and two kills.
