Trap Leagues

Scott Hammer delivered a 49 as the Big Tree turned back champion Westfield, 329-324, in the final week of the Western Chautauqua County Trap League.

Sub junior Cole Hammer shot a 47, senior veteran Karl Specht also had a 47, super senior veteran Paul McKotch had a 46, veteran Gary Olson shot the same 46 score, junior Morgan Hammer a 44 and high lady Vicki Rapela a 42.

For Westfield, Kevin Sturzenbecker and Don Munson had 48s with Munson’s total being the highest of senior veterans. Rose Corbran was the high lady with a 46, Collyn Brown the high junior with a 44, Tom Corbran the high super senior veteran with a 38 and Paul Lanphere the high sub junior total with a 32.

Mark Henry and Sid Meeder drilled 48s as Ripley downed Ellery, 324-292.

Senior Bob Murray a 46, veteran Jim Carris a 38, Bob Nichols a super senior veteran a 37, junior Desi Adams a 37 and high lady Sandie Newhouse a 35 for Ripley.

Ellery was led by Ron Harmon and Rob Graham with 44s. Alan Harding drilled a 41 for the highest junior score and Brad Bihler shot a 39 for the highest sub junior total.

On Sept.7, the postseason shoot takes place at Big Tree.
