CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SILVER CREEK – Jennifer Lynn Wickham, 39, of Columbus Avenue, Dunkirk, was charged at 1:25 a.m. on Sunday with speeding in zone, crossing official markings, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Silver Creek for traffic violations. Wickham was identified as the driver and found to be intoxicated, police said. She was taken into custody and later released with traffic tickets to appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Courtney S. Hardin, 23, of Guyton Avenue, Jamestown, was charged at 2:24 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and speeding in zone. Officers were dispatched to be on the lookout for a vehicle that struck mailboxes in Ellicott and left the scene. Police located the vehicle at a high rate of speed on Fairmount Avenue with extensive front-end damage. Hardin was identified as the driver and later found to be intoxicated, police said. She was taken into custody and found to have a blood alcohol content of .22 percent, police said. Hardin will be in Busti Court at a later date.
Troy E. Swanson, 37, of Route 474, Ashville, was charged at 10:36 p.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, open container inside motor vehicle, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane. Officers were on patrol on Baker Street and allegedly observed a vehicle cross the center line and hazard markings multiple times. Swanson was identified as the driver and was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was scheduled to appear in Busti Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Michael J. Patterson, 37, was charged at 1:55 a.m. on Sunday with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest. Officers responded to North Main Street for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Patterson was found to have allegedly shoved the victim against the side of the residence. Officers advised Patterson he was under arrest, at which time he allegedly became combative. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.
Jonathan S. Axford, 38, was charged at 1 a.m. on Saturday with second-degree obstructing governmental administrative and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers were dispatched to Forest Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers arrived on scene to find a female standing on the sidewalk and a male allegedly running up Forest Park to hide between two houses. Officers gave loud verbal commands for the male to come out, but he allegedly refused. A K-9 unit was used to apprehend the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. While in jail, Axford was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. He was awaiting arraignment.
Cheyenne M. Hodges, 21, of Celoron, was charged at 12:33 p.m. on Saturday with petit larceny. Officers were dispatched to Washington Street for a reported shoplifting complaint. Police learned Hodges allegedly took $25.75 worth of merchandise without paying. She was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
William J. Roehm, 37, of Monroeville, Pa., was charged at 3:07 a.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se. Officers were dispatched for a report of a male subject who passed out behind the wheel at the intersection of East Fourth and Church streets. Police said Roehm was intoxicated when he had fallen asleep. He was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
Jose Miguel Bula, 46, was charged at 7:54 a.m. on Saturday with third-degree burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny. Officers were sent to Spring Street for a report of a suspicious situation. Someone from the neighborhood called police and stated that a subject was inside a vacant house. Officers on scene checked the residence with no results. A description of the subject and his vehicle was given to police. The suspect, identified as Bula, was found at Weistman’s Recycling. Police said Bula was attempting to sell stolen property. He was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
FINDLEY LAKE – Matthew R. Yelkovich, 26, of Erie, Pa., was charged at 12:37 a.m. on Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana following a stop on Route 430. Yelkovich was observed passing a stop sign and swerving from his lane unsafely. Following a traffic stop, troopers could detect the odor of marijuana and located a smoking pipe and a baggie containing marijuana, police said. Yelkovich was issued appearance tickets for Mina Court.
SHERMAN – Christopher S. Briggs, 45, of Sherman, was charged on Sunday with driving while intoxicated after being stopped on East Main Street. Troopers observed the trailer he was pulling did not have working tail lights. Upon stopping him, troopers found Briggs to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests, police said. He was processed at police barracks where he supplied a BAC of .12 percent, police said. Briggs is scheduled to appear in Sherman Court.
ELLICOTT – Mckenzie T. Paulson, of Falconer, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test. Troopers pulled a vehicle over on Richard Avenue for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Paulson was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. She was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,00 cash bail, $2,000 property bond. Paulson is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
