Bow Classes To Be Held In Dayton
DAYTON – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Bow Hunters’ Education Class on the following dates and times: Tuesday, Sept. 3, and Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5-9:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Hideaway Archery, 12749 Cottage Road, Dayton. There is no charge for the class. Participants must attend both days of instruction to receive a certificate. It is preferable that participants be at least 12 years of age. If a parent wants an 11-year-old to take the class, the parent must attend and sit with the child on both days. Class size will be limited to 30 students. Those attending must bring some form of identification such as a driver’s license, birth certificate, etc.; and a pen or pencil. They may also bring snacks or something to drink. Pre-registration is required. Reservations for the class may be made by calling the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 938-9191.
Chorus To Begin Rehearsals

French Class To Be Held At JCC
“France, French and Frog Legs,” a class focusing on giving students an introduction to basic French language and culture, will be held Oct. 8 to Nov. 12 at Jamestown Community College. The class will feature a concentration on the use of conversational French in practical, authentic contexts and on gaining a better understanding of the Francophone world – all countries in which French is a main language and encompassing countries including France, Haiti, Switzerland, Morocco, and areas of Canada and the U.S. The course will take place in Carnahan Building, room 120, Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The cost is $60. JadersClub Inc. Dance Is Saturday
JadersClub Inc., a nonprofit club for individuals over 18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their family and friends, is hosting a dance Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the Gateway Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown. Activities include foosball, human foosball, ping pong, air hockey and Wii video games. Items for purchase include snacks, T-shirts, glow necklaces and laser tag. Lupus Walk To
Be Held Sept. 8
BUFFALO – The Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York will hold the Walk Along for Lupus on Sunday, Sept. 8, in the Walden Galleria Mall to raise money for education, support services and research for Western New York lupus patients and their families. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $20 for adults; $5 for children, ages 5 through 12; under age 5, free. The event will feature a post party with music, face painting, kids crafts, lunch and information tables with volunteers available to answer questions about lupus.
