Harmony Senior Citizens Plan To Meet Again Sept. 5

PANAMA – The Harmony Senior Citizens met recently for their monthly meeting. Melvin Lord led the flag salute, prayer and read “Now & Then.”

Birthdays were celebrated by Ruth Brown, Janet Kelley, Eleanor King, Lois King, Helen Lindquist, Mildred Palmer, Clair Ann Ramson, Sandra Whitford and Helen Farren.

Pictures of the Washington, D.C., trip were viewed, with a big thanks given to Art Palmer.

Secretary and treasure reports were given and approved.

The floor was opened for nominations of officers. The following slate of officers was selected and approved: Sally Hagg, president; Rose Logue, vice president; Wendy Raynor, secretary; and Sandy Hoyt, treasurer; Dottie Enlow, entertainment; Joyce Eckert, trip chairperson; and Eloise Smith, birthdays and anniversary. The new term of officers will begin in September.

The Audit Committee will include Lois King and Hoyt.

Under new business: members were reminded that dues of $8 will be due in September.

Motion was made to send Royal Kids Camp a donation of $100 and $35 to the Senior Council for scratch-off tickets.

The next meeting will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5. Committee members are: Phyllis Clark, Bonnie Anderson, Kay Hoover, Sandy Hoyt and Martha Chapman.
