Silver Creek Man Jailed On Drug Charges

SILVER CREEK – A Silver Creek man has been jailed on drug possession charges following an investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Charged with unlawfully growing marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia was David D. Sugg, 21, of Maple Place.

Members of the task force and Sheriff’s Office at 9 p.m. on Wednesday executed a search warrant at Sugg’s residence. The search warrant had been issued earlier Wednesday by the Village of Silver Creek justice.

The execution of the warrant was made without incident, the Sheriff’s Office said Thursday in a news release. According to police, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force obtained information leading to the investigation.

As a result of the search, Sugg was taken into custody. Additional charges are expected against Sugg after evidence is processed, police said.

Sugg was arraigned in Silver Creek Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail pending further court action. A female youth at the residence was charged with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force asks the public to call 800-344-8702 when they observe narcotics related activity in their area.
