Trap Leagues

Ripley edged Westfield, 317-316, in recent action from the Western Chautauqua County Trap League.

The top shooters for the winners were Howard Maille with 48, Bob Murray followed with 47 and was the high senior, Sid Meeder shot 46, Mark Henry had 45, Ernie Newhouse fired 44 and Jack Mosier shot 41.

The high lady was Sandie Newhouse with 39, Desi Adams earned high-junior honors with 26, Jim Carris was the high vet with 40 and Bob Nichols shot 45 and was the super senior vet.

For Westfield, Kevin Sturzenbecker and Danny Ficara both had 48s to lead the way, Butch Ficara was next with 46, Vern Brown and Vince Norton each shot 44s and Don Munson and Nathan Ottoway both had 43s.

Rose Corbran was the high lady with 36, Collyn Brown was the high junior with 40, Emily Norton shot 30 as the high sub junior, Mike Clutchey was high vet with 41 and Ed Shaw was the super senior vet with 32.

Big Tree also rolled to a 322-284 victory over Ellery, led by Cliff Hammer and Scott Hammer with 49s. Tony Piotrowski, Paul McKotch and Gary Breneman all had 46s, Jim Kestler fired a 45 and Viki Rapala shot 44, which also earned her high lady honors.

In addition, the high junior was Morgan Hammer with 40, the high sub junior was Cole Hammer with 44, Gary Olson was the high vet with 40, Cliff Hammer was the high senior vet with 49 and super senior vet honors went to Paul McKotch with 46.

For Ellery, Tom Bihler topped the list with 48, Alan Harding was second with 44, Bradley Bihler took third with 43, Rob Graham followed with 42, Bob Welsh was next with 40 and Don Johnson fired 37.

Alan Harding was also the high junior with 44 and Bradley Bihler was the high sub junior with 43.
