McDonald’s Senior Tour Travels To Union City
UNION CITY -The McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour rolled into Union City Country Club on Monday and Dave Kozak and Dick Woodfield tied for first in Flight A with plus 9, using the modified Stableford scoring system.
Tom Short was second with plus 6 and Bob Wood took third with plus 5 and tied with Kozak and Woodfield for low gross honors with 78s.
In Flight B, Jim Mason was first with plus 8, Ron Willey took second with plus 6 and Don Hustead was third with plus 5. Hustead also tied with Mason for the low gross as each shot 52.
Richard Barkstrom won Flight C with plus 11 and also had an 84 for the low gross and Bill Baglia and Jim Wise followed with plus 7s.
Dave Nichols was the winner of Flight D with plus 9, Larry Eidens and Ted Parran tied for second with plus 6 and Charlie Stafford placed third with plus 5. Nichols also fired an 89 for the low gross.
In Flight E, Don Garfield rolled to a plus 15 for first place, Harold Eckwahl and Nick Pannes each carded plus 9s and Garfield’s 92 was the low gross score.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Nichols on No. 4, Ted Bilicki on No. 8, Parran on No. 12 and Bill Hart on No. 14.
The McDonald’s Senior Tour will visit Riverside Golf Course on Monday, with a 9 a.m. start.
