Third-Generation Body Repair Professional Opens Fluvanna Shop

Passing on what he was taught by his grandfather and father, John Morreale is looking to help customers by providing quality work at a competitive price.

Morreale is the owner of Morreale’s Collision & Rust Repair, located at 3148 Fluvanna Ave. The business opened the beginning of July, and so far Morreale has been busy. Morreale provides collision work, frame straightening, rust repair, painting, antique restoration, deer damage repair and free estimates. Morreale said he works on automobiles, boats, trailers, tractors, trucks and motorcycles. Morreale has two frame straightening machines, one for trucks and for cars.

“I will paint anything that already has paint on it,” he said. “I will do rust repair, and get a couple more years out of an automobile for you.”

Morreale said he has been working autobody repair for more than 23 years. He said he learned his trade from his father, Marcy, and from his grandfather, John, so he is a third-generation body man.

“My dad owned a junkyard in Frewsburg. I grew up in that junkyard, My dad would pay me $1 a day to tear cars apart with my brother (Mike),” he said. ”I’m trying to do for people like my dad did, and try to give back. I’ll do the work cheaper than what people are expecting.”

Morreale said his whole life he has been around garages, working on things that move.

“It is like a hobby to me. I don’t look at it as work,” he said. “It is what I enjoy doing.”

Morreale is assisted by his wife, Jamie, who runs the office for the business. Coming soon is an additional business, Morreale and Lehnen Auto Sales.

Morreale said he is usually in around 5 a.m. and is in the shop until around 3:30 p.m. He said people wanting to schedule an appointment or who want more information on Morreale’s Collision & Rust Repair can call 489-1414 or 708-6118.
