CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SILVER CREEK – Jeffrey A. Parisio, 23, of 26 Adams St., Silver Creek, was charged at 8:30 a.m. on Friday with rape second. He was taken into custody without incident and was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

HANOVER – Timothy J. Penner, 46, of 1265 Penora, Depew, N.Y., was charged at 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 with driving while intoxicated and unsafe start. Penner was on Allegheny Road, exiting Sunset Bay, and stopped at the railroad tracks yielding to two passing freight trains. A vehicle was stopped in front of him. Penner began spinning his tires while having his brakes applied. He was approached by a deputy due to the reckless nature of his actions. Investigation led to his being charged. He will be in Hanover Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

John D. Devereau, 20, and Christian T. Powell, 17, both of Jamestown, were charged at 3:45 a.m. Friday with assault third and harassment second. Jamestown Police responded to Liberty Street for an assault that just occurred. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that he was assaulted by John Devereau with a hammer and then thrown to the ground by Christian Powell at 133 Fulton St. Officers located Devereau and Powell at the Fulton Street address. They were transported to Jamestown City Jail where they are awaiting arraignment.

Andrew S. Ratajczak, 22, of Jamestown, was charged at 2:23 a.m. on Friday with speed in zone, failure to keep right, move from lane unsafely, refusal to take prescreen test, driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol and aggravated unlicensed operator first. A vehicle was observed speeding on Blackstone Avenue, continued onto Allen Street, was observed failing to keep right and moving from lane unsafely. The vehicle was stopped on Scioto Street at Barrows Street and Ratajczak was found to be operating it with one passenger. He was transported to the Jamestown Police Department City Jail and it was found that he had a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated and a suspended New York state license. Ratajczak will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT

SALAMANCA – David J. Knoxsah, 24, of Salamanca, was charged at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday with assault third and harassment second, following an incident that occurred in the city of Salamanca. He is currently being held awaiting arraignment.

SALAMANCA – Rolando Montano-Menendez, 31, of Salamanca, was charged at 7 p.m. on Tuesday with aggravated harassment, assault second and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following an incident that occurred in the city of Salamanca. He is currently being held awaiting arraignment.

SALAMANCA – Joel Arce, 37, of Salamanca, was charged at 7:10 p.m.on Tuesday with aggravated harassment, assault in the second degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following an incident that occurred in the city of Salamanca. He is currently being held awaiting arraignment.

TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Christopher J. Rock, 35, and Steven M. Rock, 32, both of 341 W. Main St., Falconer, were charged on July 30 with petit larceny. Ellicott Police officers responded to a shoplifting incident at the K-Mart store. After further investigation, it was found that Steven M. and Christopher J. Rock concealed items belonging to the K-Mart store and left the store. Ellicott offices were able to locate both men off of video surveillance and a vehicle plate number. Both were arrested, charged and are due to appear in the town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges.

Blaydon F. Niles, 22, of Falconer, was charged on Wednesday with trespassing. It was reported to the town of Ellicott Police Department that Niles had operated his all terrain vehicle on the property of another Falconer resident after having been informed that he was not to be doing so. During the investigation, it was found that he had operated the ATV and did go onto the property he was told not to be on. Niles was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

WESTFIELD – Paul M. Soisson, 47, of 1210 Faulkner Way, Greensburg, Pa., was charged at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday with driving while intoxicated, open container and refusal of prescreen. Westfield Police were called to the area of 7904 Route 5 in the town of Westfield to check the well-being of a person that had pulled along side of the road and was blocking a driveway. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver, Soisson, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants. He was charged and arraigned in front of Justice Jerry Laport, Town of Westfield, and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $4,000 cash or $8,000 property bond.
