Psalmody To Entertain Community Seniors
The attendees of Community Senior Fellowship will be entertained with music by four women from Sherman at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the First Lutheran Church parlors.
Psalmody is a group of four women who sing inspirational music.
They each are members of Christ Our Hour Catholic Church in Sherman.
They have joined their voices in harmony and entertainment for a number of years.
As their music is a combination of inspirational and encouragement, so are the backgrounds and involvements of these ladies. Jeanne Larson serves as soloist with backup from Melva Rowan, Charlotte Rice and Mary Rogers.
Devotional time will be under the direction of Deacon Samuel Pellerito of Holy Apostles Parish, Jamestown. Deacon Pellerito was ordained on May 29, 2010, by Bishop Kmiec of the Diocese of Buffalo.
He and his wife, Kathleen, have been married for 45 years and have three children and six grandchildren. He was employed by the Jamestown Public Schools for 36 years and was also the principal of the former Catholic Academy of the Holy Family.
He serves as Southern Tier Kidney Foundation president and enjoys serving the Lord, prison ministry and family events among others.
Refreshments will be served by Richard and JoAnn Hoglund, assisted by Joyce Bracey, Florence Hinson, Mary Helen Smith, Georgianne Stewart, Roland A. Swanson and James Walrod.
Community Senior fellowship meetings are open to all seniors.
