Church To Give School Supplies

The New Covenant Assembly Church, 17 Arlington Ave., Jamestown, has school supplies to give away including backpacks, crayons, paper, folders, pens and pencils. Items are limited and donations are currently being accepted. Registration will be from 12:30-2 p.m. on Sunday in the church. Seniors To Meet For Annual Dinner

FREWSBURG – The Carroll Senior Citizens will celebrate with their annual chicken barbecue at noon on Aug. 19 at the Frewsburg American Legion Building. Reservations must be made by Aug. 15 by calling Mary Himes at 569-6110. A special program will follow the barbecue at 1 p.m. All senior citizens 50 years of age or older are invited to attend.

Panama, Clymer To Meet Monday

CLYMER – The Panama Central School Board of Education will hold a joint board meeting with the Clymer Central School Board of Education on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Clymer Central School Music Room. The purpose of the meeting is to continue discussion of a shared superintendent. This meeting is open to the public.

Bible School Begins Monday

ELLINGTON – The Baptist Church of Ellington will host a vacation Bible school Monday through Friday from 6-8:30 p.m. for children in pre-K through sixth grade. Music Camps Begin Monday

New Student Registration

FREWSBURG – Frewsburg Jr./Sr. High School will begin classes on Tuesday, Sept. 3, starting at 7:40 a.m. The guidance office will be registering new students entering grades 7-12 on Monday and Tuesday; Aug. 26 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents and guardians registering a new student should call the guidance office at 569-7026 to set up an appointment. Please bring the child’s original birth certificate, proof of residency, copies of academic records from the child’s previous school, and health/immunization records.

Girls’ Afternoon Is Monday

ASHVILLE – The Ashville Free Library and the Girls Scouts of Western New York will host a girls’ afternoon from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Monday in the Library. Participants will learn how to make games and toys from items around the house. Registration is required; forms are available in the library.
