LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Michael C. Olay Jr., 35, of Jamestown was charged at 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday with two counts of petit larceny. It is alleged that Olay took $110.84 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart without paying. On July 2, police learned Olay allegedly exited the store with a mountain bike without paying. He was issued appearance tickets to be in Busti Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
WESTFIELD – Samuel J. Cettell, 33, of Clinton Street was charged at 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Rosa M. Cettell, 53, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Deputies and Westfield police served a warrant on Clinton Street. Both were committed to Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in County Court at a later date.
CASSADAGA – Shawn Canvender, 44, of Smith Road, was charged at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday with disorderly conduct. Deputies responded for a report of an unwanted person. Canvender was found to be allegedly disorderly and throwing furniture in the residence. He was arraigned, released and scheduled to be in Charlotte Court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Josean Gutierrez, 25, of West Fourth Street, was charged at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana and uninsured motor vehicle. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Central Avenue. With the help of a K-9 unit, Gutierrez was allegedly found in possession of marijuana. He was released to appear back in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
SINCLAIRVILLE – Tyler Chase, 24, of Jamestown was charged on Aug. 2 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Troopers responded to a complaint that Chase allegedly destroyed trees on the victim’s property by running them over with a brush hog. He was processed at police barracks and will be in Charlotte Court at a later date.
SHERMAN – Arthur Reid, 22, was charged on Aug. 3 with driving while intoxicated. Reid was stopped on Main Street for driving an unregistered go-cart and was later found to be intoxicated. He provided a breath sample of .10 percent at police barracks and later issued appearance tickets to be in Sherman Court.
DUNKIRK – Matthew Buchanan-Ruiz, 22, was charged on Aug. 4 with driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded to a vehicle in a ditch on Wade Hill Road in Ellington. Buchanan-Ruiz was taken into custody after he failed several field sobriety tests. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to be in Ellington Court at a later date. No injuries were reported.
Cole Booth, 22, of Randolph was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child. An investigation found that Booth on July 27 allegedly a 14-year-old victim several alcoholic drinks, causing the youth to become intoxicated. Booth was processed at police barracks and issued appearance tickets to be in Ellington Court at a later date.
