CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
FORESTVILLE – Sydney Sprague, 20, of Main Street was charged at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies responded to investigate a complaint of a strong odor of marijuana coming from an upstairs apartment. Sprague gave consent to search the apartment when a small quantity of marijuana and marijuana pipes were discovered. Sprague was issued appearance tickets.
KIANTONE – John R. Monda, 28, of Falconer was charged at 4:20 a.m. on Saturday with failure to keep right and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher. Deputies investigated a single-car crash on Route 62 and determined Monda was northbound when he crossed the center line and struck a guardrail. Monda was later determined to be intoxicated and was issued appearance tickets to be in court at a later date.
POLAND – Traci K. Faulkner, 41, was charged at 9:54 p.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. Deputies were dispatched to a property damage accident on Willard Street Extension. Police learned Faulkner was westbound when she allegedly lost control and struck several fence posts, a piece of farm machinery and cement garage wall. She was later found to be intoxicated and is scheduled to appear in Poland Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Robert Majak Jr., 50, and Michael Majak, 48, were charged at 10 p.m. on Tuesday with second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. Police responded to a Spring Street apartment for a report of an assault. An investigation found that the brothers allegedly assaulted a 32-year-old victim and pushed him down a stairwell. Both Majaks then allegedly stole the victim’s backpack. The victim required medical treatment, police said. The brothers were awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Steven C. Cabisca, 40, was charged at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police responded to a suspicious vehicle with reports of the occupants allegedly involved in drug activity. The vehicle was stopped on Newland Avenue and found that Cabisca had a bench warrant for criminal mischief. He was also found to be in possession of numerous hypodermic needles and narcotics. He was transported to city jail and was held pending arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Andrea M. McKoon, 21, of Celoron was charged at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday with petit larceny. McKoon was taken into custody after police said she allegedly took $6.47 in merchandise without paying from Wal-Mart. She was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
Shaquinda Hunt, 20, of Jamestown was charged at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday with petit larceny. Police said Hunt allegedly took $337.05 worth of merchandise without paying from Wal-Mart. She was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
