Update: Trial Set For All 4 Men Charged In Carroll Couple’s Slaying

MAYVILLE (AP) – An early 2014 trial date has been set for four men charged with killing a couple in their Carroll home earlier this year.

A March 11 trial date has been set for the men who are charged with murder in the slayings of Gordon and Joyce Skinner.

Firefighters responding to a blaze at the couple’s home in the town of Carroll on April 17 found the bodies.

Four men from Elmira ranging in age from 18 to 34 have been charged in the killings. A 34-year-old and a 21-year-old are charged with first-degree murder, while two teenagers are charged with second-degree murder.

All four remain in the county jail.

Officials say the Skinners were stabbed to death.
