Music Classes Accepting Students

Children’s Music Studio is enrolling children for parent and child music classes. These music and movement classes are based on the internationally renowned Musikgarten curriculum. Children and parents/caregivers sing, dance, play musical games and play instruments. The joy of musicmaking and bonding between parents and children are the benefits. This summer session is held for four weeks and gives participants a taste for the full fifteen week session in the fall. These classes are sponsored by the Community Music Project and are held at the Lutheran. Call Director Melanie Gritters, at 763-7425 for more information and to enroll.

Set For Sunday

A fundraiser for Anne (Heidorn) VanDerwalker will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Mojo’s. While on vacation in Florida in May, VanDerwalker was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a disorder in which one’s immune system attacks one’s nerves. She lost all movement in her body, struggled with eating and breathing. After a three-week hospital stay, she moved to a rehab facility before returning home. She is currently unable to return to work. The benefit will be held to cover medical bills. The cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets include food, beer and pop. A basket giveaway and 50/50 will be available. Music will be provided by Jeremy “DJ 80NE” Nalbone. Call 720-5092 for more information. Visit to donate.
