Audrey C. Heath
GERRY – Audrey C. Heath, 64, of Gerry, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.
Born Oct. 30, 1948, in Titusville, Pa., she is the daughter of the late James and Jean Gardner Cole. A Chautauqua County resident most of her life, she was a 1968 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and had attended SUNY Fredonia.
Audrey had been employed as a substitute rural mail carrier in Jamestown for 15 years retiring in 2001 due to health. She had previously been a home and career instructor at the Jamestown Girl’s Club and a tour guide at the Fenton History Center.
A member of the Gerry United Methodist Church she was cochairman of the Hospitality Committee, Sunday School teacher, youth leader and with her husband the chair persons for many outreach minis-tries including the Annual Fall Dinner. A volunteer at the Southern Tier Kidney Association, Audrey was a founding member of the Kidney Walk.
She loved weaving, sewing, crafts, camping and spending time with family and her grandchildren.
Wife of 44 years to Lewis Heath, whom she married June 21, 1969; mother of Mark (Jennifer) Heath of Gerry and Becky (William) Luhman of Jamestown; grandmother of Meghan, Shannon and Kristen Heath, James and Sophia Luhman; sister of Susan Cole of Victorville, Calif., Shirley Cole of Adelanto, Calif., Robert (Elaine) Cole of Cassadaga, Richard (Sue) Cole of Lancaster and the late Lynn Whitehill and Barbara Christ. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Gerry United Methodist Church, 441 Route 60, Gerry. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Burial in Gerry Cemetery.
