JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Daniel C. Scroggins, 33, was charged at 6:37 a.m. on Wednesday with third-degree felony criminal mischief. Officers were dispatched to McKinley Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. A female told police her boyfriend became upset with her and threw her Kindle on the floor two times, breaking it.

Edward D. Reger, 70, was charged at 12:07 a.m. on Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign. Officers observed a vehicle pass through a stop sign without stopping, nearly striking the patrol car. The driver was identified as Reger and was later taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. He was held pending arraignment.

Zackery L. Nace, 27, was charged at 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Officers were dispatched to Barrett Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Police spoke with the victim, who stated her boyfriend, Nace, was angry because there was no food. Nace allegedly began to throw items around the apartment, one of which was a crockpot that broke. Nace also was found in possession of a set of metal knuckles. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA – Joshua Huntress, 24, was charged at 10:30 p.m. on Monday with second-degree burglary, petit larceny, trespassing and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded to Meadow Road for a report of a male entering a residence without permission and stealing prescription medication. Huntress also was found to have allegedly entered a church at that location without permission and was involved in an altercation with a victim there. He was located at the scene and taken into custody. Huntress was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.

NORTH HARMONY – Graham C. Riggle, 40, of Lakewood was charged at 2:06 a.m. on Tuesday with failure to use designated lane, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and driving while intoxicated. Deputies on patrol on Route 394 observed a vehicle make several lane violations. Following an investigation, Riggle was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated and was taken into custody. Riggle refused a breath test and was later arraigned in North Harmony Court. He was released to appear back in court at a later date.

ELLICOTT – Pamela Slater, 35, of Jamestown was charged on Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers pulled a vehicle over on Interstate 86 for speeding and could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. Slater was allegedly found in possession of several containers containing 15 grams of marijuana. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA – Jeffery Ireland, 57, of Edinboro, Pa., was charged on July 24 with second-degree harassment. Troopers responded to a report of a harassing phone call in Chautauqua. Ireland allegedly called and threatened bodily harm to the victim if she called Child Protective Services. Ireland was transported to police barracks in Jamestown and later remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
