Police Seeking Second Car In Monday Crash
Jamestown police are looking for a vehicle believed to have contributed to a high-speed crash Monday night in the city.
Jamestown police Capt. Robert Samuelson said witnesses saw two vehicles traveling eastbound on Fairmount Avenue around 10:30 p.m. at high rates of speed.
One of the vehicles, a red Chevrolet sedan, lost control near Meadow Lane and struck a tree. The front passenger was ejected and later flown by helicopter to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa. The other occupant was taken to WCA Hospital.
Their identities have not been released.
According to witnesses, the second vehicle involved was a blue Chevrolet Malibu. Police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the blue sedan for questioning.
The vehicle did not stop at the crash, Samuelson said.
