The home fifth inning proved to be decisive as Jock Shop prevailed over Peppy Dental, 13-6, in the championship game under the lights at Bergman Park.

Mike Mammoser hit a three-run double and Kameron Rizzo-Walker a two-run triple to key a seven-run outburst and break a 4-4 deadlock. Mammoser had earlier stroked a two-run double in the fourth to tie it at 4-4. Then in the sixth, Mammoser drilled a two-run single to finish with seven RBIs and put the game away.

On the mound, Mammoser went the distance to get the win.

Peppy Dental went in front, 3-0, in the second inning on Tyler Phanco’s two-run double and ONeill Rosado’s triple.

Griffin Noon’s two-run single allowed Jock Shop to close within 3-2.

Rosado and Chad Nelson each had an RBI double for Peppy Dental.

Brennan Russell had two hits for the Jock Shop.


Stuart Tool and Die defeated Southwestern, 6-3, as Koby Carder threw a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Carder also had three hits, including a double, and Bryan Gardner and Bryce Raymond had two hits.

Noah Weinstein had two of Southwestern’s hits, including a triple.



Justin Overbeck, Dominic Rodriguez and Shawn Ulander had three hits each as St. James edged Busti Church of God, 13-12.

Among Overbeck’s hits was a solo home run while Rodriguez and Ulander added doubles for the winners. Mark Cobbe smashed a three-run home run and Scott Lovley and Sean Rizzo had solo homers in the win.

Justin Bielata and Patrick Fellows stroked three hits and Eric Stevens delivered a solo home run in the loss.
