Millspaw, Wood, Grant Lead McDonald’s Senior Tour Action
NORTH EAST – The McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour traveled to Green Meadows Golf Course on Tuesday and Roger Millspaw and Bob Wood topped Flight A with plus 9, using the modified Stableford scoring system.
Bill Hart took third with plus 7 and Shelly Grant earned low-gross honors with 72.
John Ames led Flight B with plus 7 and also had the low gross with an 83. Bruce Carlson and Lynn Butcher followed with plus 6s.
In Flight C, Richard Inman carded a plus 8 for first, Ray Cenni and Joe Palermo tied for second place with plus 7 and Wayne Schuver took third with plus 6. Ray Head fired an 87 for the low gross.
Russ Vacanti paced Flight D with plus 10, Norm Thomas was second with plus 8 and Dene Lindquist took third with plus 6. Vacanti also shot an 89 for the low gross.
In Flight E, Jim Polvino carded a plus 8 for first place, Ed Rumiano and Herb Hern tied for second with plus 4s and Dave Nichols was the low gross shooter with a 99.
Dick Ingraham’s plus 11 was the top score in Flight F, Jack McCall was second with plus 9, Junie Schenck shot plus 5 for third and Ingraham had a 98 for the low gross.
Closest-to-the-pin winners included Carl Sandstrom on No. 3, Wayne Dornsife on No. 7, Brian Brown on No. 13 and Jim Wirges on No. 16.
The McDonald’s tour will visit South Hills Country Club on Monday with a start time of 9 a.m.
