Rabies Clinic Set For Thursday

The Chautauqua County Humane Society will hold a rabies vaccination clinic from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Strunk Road Adoption Center in Jamestown.

There is no charge for the rabies vaccine that will be available for cats, dogs and ferrets. Attending pets need to be leashed or in a pet carrier.

The same evening distemper shots will be available for dogs only at no charge for Chautauqua County residents. People seeking the distemper vaccine are asked to provide proof of county residency in the form of a driver’s license or utility bill. This is made possible by a grant from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

The Chautauqua County Humane Society is a non-profit that is not part of any government organization. Its mission to care for animals by promoting adoptions, preventing cruelty and providing education relies solely on public support.
