CWC Annual Meeting Set

MAYVILLE – Webb’s Captains Table will be the location for the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy’s annual meeting and dinner celebration to be held Sunday. This year’s featured speakers will be CWC’s conservationists Jane Conroe and David Anderson, speaking on their outreach to foster lakeshore native plant landscaping on Chautauqua Lake and to engage landowners of stream sites with high rates of erosion to obtain design and funding assistance to undertake conservation projects to reduce the loading of sediment and nutrients to Chautauqua Lake. CWC members, community leaders, and the general public are invited to attend the annual meeting at a cost of $40 per person for a buffet style dinner. A welcoming reception with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will begin at 4:45 p.m., followed by the annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. An annual report to the membership on activities and board elections will take place. AOC To Ride Bikes Wednesday

On Wednesday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes at Goddard State Park and in Meadville. Participants will meet at 8 a.m. at the Youngsville Home and Garden Center, 70 Railroad St., Youngsville or at the parking lot below the Goddard State Park Office on Lake Wilhelm Road, across from Pier 3 Boat Launch, at 9:30 a.m. The ride will be 16 miles around Lake Wilhelm on a paved trail. Riders will then load their bikes on their vehicles, stop for lunch, then drive to the Ernst Trail in Meadville on Route 322 next to Home Depot for a 10-mile ride. City Concert Series Continues

The City Summer Bandshell Concert series will feature the Jamestown Municipal Band as directed by Rick Lundquist at 7 p.m., Wednesday. The free concert series is held at the Goranson Bandshell in Allen Park. This week’s concert theme is a “Music of Broadway & Hollywood.”

JGH Alumni Reunion Set

The 25th alumni reunion of Jamestown General Hospital employees will be Saturday, Aug. 10, at Maplehurst Country Club. The social hour starts at 5 p.m. with a dinner buffet at 6 p.m., followed by dancing and music. The cost is $22.50 a person. There will be a cash bar. Spouses and significant others welcomed. Thule Lodge To Meet Thursday

BEMUS POINT – The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to pass for the tureen supper which will begin at 6 p.m. Following the supper, the monthly business meeting will be held. Thule Lodge serves to preserve the Swedish heritage through events and activities, and welcomes new members.

Sewer District Board To Meet

MAYVILLE – The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District Board of Directors will have a scheduled meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, at 2 Academy St., Mayville.
