Showstoppers Jazz Teams Qualify For National Finals

RANDOLPH – After winning two gold first-place medals in May for their lyrical jazz and jazz dance performances at Showstopper Regional Dance Championships in Lancaster, Pa., Expressions Performing Arts Center Senior Company of Randolph was honored to qualify for National Finals in Sandusky, Ohio.

Thanks to the support of the community, they were honored to travel June 23-25 to represent Western New York in the largest dance competition in the country.

In the Northern Finals at the Showstopper American Dance Championships, Expressions Performing Arts Center competed against dozens of dance studios from around the United States for top honors.

After two performances, Expressions Performing Arts Center received first-place gold medal finishes for performances in both lyrical and jazz dance divisions. In addition, EPAC was awarded the honor of being one of the top 10 of all teen small group performance numbers for the entire competition.

The Expressions Performing Arts Center Senior Company is a part of Expressions Performing Arts Center in Randolph, and is directed by Melissa Anderson, with assistance from Amber Andrews and Danielle Chase.
