LawNY Inc. Looks For Attorney?To Work With Vets

Legal Assistance of Western New York Inc. recently announced a fellowship opportunity for an admitted attorney working with local veterans in Chautauqua County.

Nationwide, 40 fellows are being funded by Equal Justice Works and AmeriCorps, to work on the growing number of civil legal issues facing veterans and military families. LawNY Inc. has been awarded four positions, with two to be based in Rochester, one in Bath and one in Jamestown, serving Chautauqua County.

The Jamestown-based AmeriCorps fellow will work to connect legal services to the existing network of services available for veterans locally, as well as providing direct legal services in certain areas of law to local veterans and/or their families.
