Myers Library Announces Hours

FREWSBURG – Myers Memorial Library’s summer hours are: Monday 1-8 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday 1-8 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Friday 2-5 p.m. The library is closed Saturday. These hours are in effect until Labor Day. For more information please call the library at 569-5515.

Craft Spaces

Still Available

The City of Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department has announced that there are still arts and crafts spaces available for the 2013 Labor Day Festival. Spaces may be rented for $35 each and only hand-crafted items made by the vendor may be sold. Call the Recreation Office at 483-7523 for more information.

Stockton Picnic Set For Saturday

The Route 380/S. Stockton Picnic will be held at the Stockton Firemen’s Grounds in the Briggs Pavilion, on Saturday, July 27, at noon. Bake Sale

Set For Saturday

FALCONER – The Falconer Women of the Moose Chapter 134 will host a bake sale from 3-6 p.m. Saturday in the Moose Lodge, 11 S. Dow St., Falconer. Proceeds will benefit youth involvement committee projects.

Ricketts To Appear On Show

“Senior Report with Reed Powers” will have Mike Ricketts as the guest Saturday. Ricketts will discuss Habitat for Humanity and the upcoming new house build in Mayville. The live, cable-access call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time.

Rap Group To Meet Saturday

The Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Rap Group will hold its monthly ”rap session” from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Jones Hill Memorial Rehabilitation Center auditorium, 51 Glasgow Ave., Jamestown. This open discussion support group meeting is available to all those dealing with MS, their family and friends. Chicken Barbecue Set For Saturday

STOW – The Magnolia United Methodist Church, 3969 Route 394, north of Stow, will hold a chicken barbecue from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday. The meal will include chicken from 3C’s Catering, potato salad, applesauce, roll, pie and a beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts will be available. Baked goods and crafts will also be featured.

Recital Set

For Sunday

Slovakian pianist Magdalena Ondicova will present a 3 p.m. recital Sunday at Zion Covenant Church, 520 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown. The recital is being given in honor of her dear friend Ruth Ann McChesney, who will celebrate her 75th birthday. A cake reception will follow the recital. The public is welcome to attend free of charge.
