Paul Andrew Koresko

Paul Andrew Koresko, 35, of Syracuse, N.Y., passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

He was born on March 2, 1978, in WCA Hospital. He was the son of Paul Edward Koresko of Falconer, N.Y., and Debra Gerhartz of Mount Dora, Fla.

Paul graduated from Falconer Central School in 1996, and then moved to Syracuse, N.Y. to attend Onondaga Community College. He currently worked in the admissions department at OCC, as the technical specialist.

Paul was loved by so many for his smile, wit, charm, dedication to excel-lence, determination to defend the underdog, his great athleticism in tennis, his acting and singing ability, his love for the New York Yankees (Go Jeter!), but most of all for his amazing love and compassion for everyone he came in contact with.

Paul is survived by his mother and father listed above; his stepfather, Walter Gerhartz of Mount Dora, Fla.; two brothers: James Koresko of Mount Dora, Fla., and Jason Swanson of Albany, N.Y.; his sister-in-law, Maryellen Moeser of Albany, N.Y.; his sister, Lisa Evanock of Dewittville, N.Y.; his brother-in-law, Andrew Evanock of Dewittville, N.Y.; one niece, Caitlin Evanock of Dewittville, N.Y.; two nephews: Joshua Evanock and Stephen Evanock of Dewittville, N.Y.; an aunt and uncle, Sue and Mike Koresko of Jamestown, N.Y.; and two cousins: Michelle and Michael Koresko of Jamestown, N.Y.

He will be desperately missed by everyone whose life he has touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. at the Falconer Funeral Home at 44 W. Falconer St., Falconer, NY 14733. The Altar and Rosary Society of OLL will conduct a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

The funeral will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church at 309 W. Everett St., Falconer, NY 14733. Father Joseph Janaczek will officiate the Mass. A Christian Wake Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
