Area Police Reports


SILVER CREEK – Eric S. Grundhoefer, 24, of Hanover Street, was charged at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded to an altercation in which several items were damaged at the residence. Grundhoefer was arraigned in Hanover Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. He will return to Silver Creek Court at a later date.

BROCTON – Wendy M. Hallmark, 52, of East Main Street, was charged at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. An investigation by deputies and Westfield police led to charges against Hallmark for stealing a motorized scooter cart from Tops Markets in Westfield. Hallmark was located by deputies and found to be in possession of the scooter. she will appear in court at a later date.

HANOVER – Eric C. Lundberg, 51, was charged at 10 p.m. on Saturday with open container in a public place. Deputies noticed an open beer can in Lundberg’s hand. As deputies drove past him, he threw the can on the ground. Deputies had Lundberg pick up the can and dump the rest of the beer out. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Hanover Court at a later date.

FREWSBURG – A 16-year-old male, of Ashville, was charged at 3:34 a.m. on Saturday with driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, unregistered vehicle and operating out of class. An 18-year-old, of Panama, and a 19-year-old, of Lakewood, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies stopped a vehicle on West Main Street for having an expired registration. Deputies found three male subjects allegedly smoking marijuana in the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was found to be impaired and taken into custody. All three were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.


Andrew F. Mealy, 23, was charged at 7:36 p.m. on July 9 with second-degree aggravated harassment. Officers responded to Washington Street for an aggravated harassment that occurred on Bush Street. Upon arrival officers learned Mealy called and threatened the victim over the phone. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and was held pending bail.

Hector E. Rios, 47, of West Third Street, was charged at 2:06 p.m. on Sunday with second-degree aggravated harassment, two counts of first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Officers responded for a report of an unwanted person. Police learned Rios had violated an active order of protection out of Jamestown City Court. He was transported to jail where he was awaiting arraignment.
